Went to Kakadu today which is one of the largest national parks in Australia, definitely the most dynamic. I opted for a day tour instead of hiking and carrying on because I am not only crazy from the heat, I am LAZY from the heat. Saw spoonbills, ibises, kingfishers, white-bellied eagles, wedgetail eagles (wedgies) a boatload of ducks and Jabiru, Brolgas as well as some salt water crocs.
Do you know how to tell the difference between a salt water croc (a salty) and a fresh water croc (a freshie)? Something to know when you are swimming in Oz! and if the crocs don't get you, part of the year the box jellyfish will. Incredible!!! ended the day at windows on the wetlands where I got to see an incredible sunset in existence. MUAH LATA!
